waterways, marinas, and other water environments.

Recently, a proposal was submitted to Australian Standards that aims to increase safety in man-made water environments by implementing the installation of pontoon stairs and wall-mounted stairs. This new standard is designed to reduce drownings by providing easy & accessible ways for individuals to exit the water in an emergency.
Councils and governing bodies will chose whether to mandate these changes in whole or consider implementation of certain aspects of the standard.
