Pontoon Stairs International aims to work with relevant governing bodies and authorities to look at ways to reduce the incidents of drowning.
The Victorian Government launched a campaign called unsinkable Guy in Summer 2023-2024 and has broadcast the message again this Summer 2024-2025. It is specifically aimed at the male population.
Why pontoon stairs matter in water inlets
While we cannot assist those in ocean or beach areas, we can make a difference in water inlets such as canals, rivers and lakes. Speak with your local politician or council about having pontoon stairs installed in your area, to help save lives.

As a parent, you worry when you know your kids (even as adults) are around water. With limited options to enter or exit water easily, risk increases. With pontoon stairs installed, there is a greater chance that those struggling in water, have a means to exit inlet waterways more easily and those on land, can be of greater assistance.
